Schönherr first made sketches of an assemblage of elements on a wall in the early 1970s. In the mid-1990s, he installed the various clocks, drawings, photographs and other objects on the living room wall of his Berlin apartment. This "Living Room Wall" was subsequently exhibited in Berlin in 2009 in the context of an exhibition on Schönherr’s work during the Forum Expanded of the Berlinale and at the Produzenten Galerie in Berlin in 2014.
