UNTITLED (TV SUPERIMPOSITION WITH CLOCK AND TWO FACES)
photograph, color, 30 x 40 cm
Schönherr was fascinated by analogue clocks and incorporated them as objects and images into his work, whether in the installation WOHNZIMMERWAND (LIVING ROOM WALL), his film NEW YORK, EIN VISUELLES ARBEITSTAGEBUCH (A VISUAL WORK JOURNAL, 1976-78) or in his series of still life photographs. He dedicated a number of photographic projects to the analogue television clock, with this multiple-exposure photograph as one example.
