In the context of the two-year research project Living Archive at the Arsenal Institute for Film and Video Art (Berlin), Marc Siegel conducted research on Schönherr’s work, screening and cataloging approximately 60 Super 8mm films. This resulted in the digitalization of twelve films, available for distribution through Arsenal, and the presentation of an installation at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin.
In the context of the two-year research project LIVING ARCHIVE at the Arsenal Institute for Film and Video Art (Berlin), Marc Siegel conducted research on Schönherr’s work, screening and cataloging approximately 60 Super 8mm films. A selection of 12 films were digitized and made available to the Arsenal for distribution.
Within this project Schönherr’s installation, SONATA FOR 4 MONITORS (1968-1971) was recreated and presented in the Living Archive exhibition at the KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin and some of the newly digitized films were presented over two programs at the Arsenal Cinema.
